What’s in the Creams

Posted by – April 23, 2011

These that have used wrinkle creams are usually surprised that they do in fact work for the person as long as they follow the directions and use this as they should be using the cream. However, those that are just getting to the point in which they ended to use these creams are more often than not wondering just how does these creams work? What is it about these creams that does work the magic that so many people want worked on their wrinkles and fine lines in their face?

The main reason that these creams work is because they utilize ingredients that are good for the skin. These ingredients are going to include vitamins and minerals, as well as those ingredients that are going to give an infusion of collagen and elastin into the skin in order to make it more tight and brilliant. However, most people still wonder just how the cream works, most agree that it would seem easier if the ingredients were on the inside of the body instead of the outside. However, consider the wrinkles and fine lines that are on the face. These are on the exterior of the face and are occurring in the first layer of the skin. With a cream, the first layer is able to once again get the health that it needs in order to flourish. As people age, the first layer of the skin is the one layer that is going to become unhealthy. The circulation to the area is going to slow down, while may kill off some of the cell skins, while the moisture in the skin is slowly going to go away. With using a wrinkle cream the person can get this back and still look their best no matter what.

These creams are not going to cause any redness and irritation. Those that understand wrinkle treatment options know that this is sometimes the case when the product does remove the first layer of the skin. But, wrinkle creams are not removing anything. They are simply infusing the first layer with the nutrients that it needs in order to thrive once again. This means that the skin is going to become more moisturized, while also demonstrating a tighter and sleeker appearance from those that use the wrinkle cream. The moisturizers in these creams are often going to help keep the skin from drying out or breaking out in red marks.

For those that want a noninvasive way to get rid of their wrinkles, then wrinkle creams are the option to choose. These do work and the ingredients are going to make all of your skin much more healthier. Those that do this are glad that they did because it is the most inexpensive way to get rid of those wrinkles while also encouraging the health of your skin. The key is to find a wrinkle cream that is going to work for your skin type and the problems that you have, mainly referring to the type of wrinkles that you have on your skin. Without taking these steps, then the person cannot be sure that this particular cream is going to work for them or not, and could end up being disappointed.

Useful Antioxidants to Fight Wrinkles

Wrinkles may be an unpleasant fact, but there is no reason to resign yourself to the fact and give up. Fighting wrinkles can be easier than you think if you realize there are many ways to reduce the appearance of aging and actually reverse some of those signs with easy home remedies.

Wrinkles can form on the skin because of many factors. For example, sun exposure, smoking, stress, unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, and lack of sleep can wreak havoc on a person’s health and actually speed up the aging process. Fine lines and wrinkles are going to appear on everyone’s face eventually, but when a person engages in a detrimental lifestyle, they only appear sooner.

Taking care of your skin is tantamount to the reduction of wrinkles and some elements work better than others do. Vitamins and antioxidants are ingredients that will not only help to revive the look of skin, but can truly bring about repair of damaged skin.

Many experts believe that phytonutrients are the key to long life as they eradicate free radicals, which can bring about Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, heart disease, and osteoporosis. Free radicals are essentially molecules of oxygen. Think of what happens when you cut an apple in half – the inside portion becomes brown from the oxidation process. This is the same process that happens to your body, and oxidative stress occurs when your body is contaminated with many free radicals.

Wrinkle creams that contain Vitamins C and E can assist the body in producing more collagen, which will give the skin a more plump and smooth appearance. Sun damage can even be diminished by daily use of these vitamins. Aside from wrinkle creams that topically apply antioxidant properties to your skin, you can ingest many tasty foods that are full of antioxidants as well.

Ellagic acid is an antioxidant that can protect skin from damaging UV light and can be found in many red berries. Cranberries, Goji berries, juneberries, raspberries, red currents, and strawberries are all full of ellagic acid and can be eaten daily as a snack.

Linoleic acid is another antioxidant, which helps reduce the risk of health issues like high blood pressure, heart attack, and high cholesterol. Grape seed oil contains concentrated levels of linoleic acid as well as omega 3 fatty acids. Other tasty sources of omega 3 are fish, olive oil, soybeans, tofu, and walnuts. Beans are a great place to find antioxidants as well, such as black-eyed peas, lima beans, and pinto beans. Drinking pomegranate juice can lower your cholesterol and is quite high in antioxidants as well.

Slowing Down Wrinkles through Mental Techniques

Posted by – April 11, 2011

Eventually we all get wrinkles. It is a part of life that, while unpleasant, is a natural aspect of the aging process. Good genes and a healthy lifestyle can slow down the effects of aging, but sooner or later, fine lines and little wrinkles start to creep up.

Wrinkles happen when skin does not produce as much elastin and collagen, which work to keep the skin firm and supple. Wrinkles can be caused by many factors other than our genetic makeup. For instance, skin damage from sun exposure and smoking can show up many years earlier on persons who engage in sunbathing or smoking, or even by people who work outside or spend time around people who smoke.

Other types of wrinkles are brought about by repeated facial expressions. When a person laughs, the muscles under the skin are pulled into a shape that is repeated every time the person smiles. Frowning and squinting also bring about wrinkles around the eyes and on the forehead. These expression wrinkles and lines take some time to show up, but normally by the age of thirty, most people have some.

Gravity starts to work on producing wrinkles as the skin starts to lose its collagen and elastin elements. Sagging skin can cause eyes to appear hollow and the eyelids to droop, as well as the potential formation of jowls and upper lip thinning. While there is not a great deal you can do about gravity sagging or expression wrinkles, there are some techniques you can use to reduce the effects of aging and slow down the wrinkles!

Mental techniques are quite useful in reducing stress and improving a person’s frame of mind. To begin with, try always to think positively about all situations. It may seem difficult while you are in the midst of a crisis, but remember that the more positive your thought process, the more likely things will turn out okay.

Adaptability and flexibility are key to overcoming stressful events. When the way you are doing something or the way you are approaching a problem is not working, try to gain some perspective and change the way you are doing things. In other words, if banging your head against the wall isn’t doing the trick… stop doing it. Learn to change and you can eliminate a great deal of stress in your daily life.

Finally, try to practice visualization. When you are finding it hard to remain positive and optimistic, visualize the ending of the situation in a positive way. Actually see the end of the road and then act as though it’s already happened! You will be amazed at how much better you feel and stress wrinkles won’t stand a chance!
